HISTORY
Stumptown Stages is a not-for-profit musical theatre company in residence at the Portland'5 Centers for the Arts. Since 2005, Stumptown Stages has presented fully staged professional musicals for Portland audiences. Previous productions include: Urinetown (Drammy Award Best Actress in a Musical), Rapture (West Coast Premiere), Grease, Reefer Madness, Floyd Collins (PAMTA Award Best Supporting Actor in a Musical), Godspell, The Last Five Years (PAMTA Award Best Actress in a Musical), Dreamgirls, The Wiz (Drammy Award for Best Young Performer in a Musical and Best Choreography), A Chorus Line, Rent (PAMTA Award Best Ensemble and Best Sound Design), Club Morocco (PAMTA Best Actress in a Musical), Once On This Island, Dracula A Musical Nightmare and The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Carrie the musical (PAMTA Best Actress), The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical, The Adventures of Dex Dixon, Smokey Joe's Cafe, In the Heights (PAMTA Best Supporting Actress). Additionally, Stumptown Stages focuses on original work; including musical workshops of Folk City, It’s A Wonderful Life and Soul Harmony.
