Mission & Values
Mission Statement
Stumptown Stages is dedicated to presenting quality musical theatre opportunities for a wide and diverse audience.
Non-Discrimination Policy
Stumptown Stages endorses the goals of diversity, equity, inclusion, and the principles of equal opportunity for all who work in the theatre industry, and condemns racism, prejudice, discrimination and exclusion in the theatre. To these ends, we encourage employment and production opportunities in all disciplines and areas of theatrical production to include persons of every race, national origin, religion, color, culture, age, gender (including pregnancy), disability, sexual orientation and citizenship status, thereby achieving a theatre industry, both on and off stage, that reflects the full diversity of American society.
Land Acknowledgment
Stumptown Stages recognizes, acknowledges and honors the Indigenous peoples of this region on whose ancestral lands, the theatre now stands. We also want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities—past, present, future—and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
